Verifiable Credentials for Data Unlocking. core of web5

In #WebX ( #web3 , #web5 , web.. ) we have our private and public key as an identity. In the blockchain, you have an address derived from a public key. In the chain agnostic #SSI world, we have #DIDs as Resolvable DNS-like identifiers that help to distribute your public keys with metadata that identifies you via signatures.
Identity is much more than proof of signature. How to state any facts about yourself and others? For this, we have Verifiable Credentials https://www.w3.org/TR/vc-data-model.
VCs help us to satisfy core SSI principles (https://coggle.it/diagram/YGd1jLDPo2dftiil/t/ssi-principles) like: — portability, — interoperability — transparency We open our data to ourselves, our devices, and others. More impotent is to turn our data to #temperproof machine and human #verifiable and readable #datagraph. With a JSON-LD https://json-ld.org/ we turn claims into self-descriptive and discoverable linked data. Even a single VC is two data graphs that are semantically connected (claims graph that describes a data and proof graph that represents a signature and issuer authority). Set of VCs to create your data graph that describes your identity. VCs are DID-independent specs, so in theory, we could replace DIDs with a VC-based entity in the future. Let’s dig together to a VC anatomy in my video. Follow a mind map https://coggle.it/diagram/YwsV9njkbLZ-v1QZ/t/-
